The Good Med Nutrition

This year, coming back to my regular routine after the Christmas holidays took a bit longer than I expected. While the holiday season is a time of happiness and joy, it also brings significant changes—new travel schedules, altered daily routines, different eating habits, and irregular sleep patterns. When I finally returned to “normal” life, I realized how challenging it can be to adjust after a period of letting go.

I noticed this same experience among many of my clients, especially those who view the holiday break as an opportunity to completely “let loose” and break away from the constraints of everyday life.

It’s as if normal daily life is seen as a constant struggle, full of obligations and restrictions. And while most of us do have tight schedules and responsibilities, completely overhauling our lives for just a few days—and then trying to snap back to our routine—is no easy feat, particularly when our healthy eating habits take a back seat to holiday excesses.

Combine that with erratic sleep patterns, and you’ve got a recipe for more stress than benefits.

For me, the key this year is finding balance in how I manage stress. I’ve come to realize that there’s a way to navigate both the everyday pressures and the disruptive changes with harmony and joy. I’m excited to share that over the coming weeks, I’ll be exploring practical strategies for managing stress by using wholesome, nourishing foods that support both our mental and physical well-being.

In this series, I’ll dive into topics like:

  • How small changes in our daily diet can ease the transition back to a regular routine.
  • The role of balanced nutrition and mindful eating in reducing stress.
  • Simple, effective stress management techniques that fit into our busy lives.

I’m also thrilled to be working on upcoming events—a stress management retreat with a wonderful group of women—designed to bring us together and explore these ideas in a supportive environment.

Stay tuned for the next posts in this series!

Let’s embrace the journey of returning to normal life with a renewed sense of purpose and joy
